SUMMARY // Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for creating and delivering effective workouts that are suitable for all fitness levels. This will be responsible for creating and maintaining a fun and engaging environment for our clients. PRIMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS // Properly prepare s a playlist ahead of time and organize themed spin classes to attract clients and maintain interest. Do es not use the same playlist back-to-back Prepare s an effective 50-minute workout that includes a warm-up and brief cool-down Ensure s the workout is suitable for all fitness levels and prepare adaptations when needed Arrive s at least 15 minutes before class to turn on lights, set up equipment and turn on music Greet s participants as they arrive with friendliness and enthusiasm Learn s names when possible and sign participants into the class using our RGPro calendar Ask s the class if anyone has any injuries or limitations Makes modifications as needed Lead s the workout with energy Has a ware ness of music volume and content Find s the balance between being able to hear the instructor and not having the music to quite Make s corrections to participant form when needed End s class on time Know s how long the class is supposed to be and end on the minute Ensure s the class wipes down and puts equipment away Thank s class for coming Mops and dries floors Ensures equipment is nice and organized Notifies the Front Desk Managers or Group Fitness Manager if equipment breaks or needs to be replaced T urn s off lights after class Leave s the doors open to vent ilate room Additional duties may be assigned REQUIREMENTS // Group fitness certification or CPT, or spin certification CPR or first aid certification Must have 3 months of spin instructing experience in the past 6 months Ph ysi cal fitness is required in order to participate in cla s ses and show participants proper exercise techniques Communication skills in order to explain difference exercises and speak in a positive, motivating way Extremely d ependable - r arely require s that your class be subbed, and NEVER ask for a sub within 24 hours of your class time unless it is a dire emergency High energy and enthusiastic Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm Ability to be professional and motivate class participants Reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop (bend head or body forward or downward); grasp, turn, and manipulate objects; lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time Perform other reasonable job duties as requested MISSION STATEMENT:   The Front's mission is to create innovative spaces that maximize the climbing experience, inspire meaningful connections, and foster an engaged community.   CORE VALUES:   Distinctive Facilities with Emotional Depth//   We design and build outstanding and unique facilities that are the "3rd place" for the broader outdoor community, and we maintain and improve our facilities with the utmost attention to detail and care.
