A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FLEET DIESEL MECHANIC As a Fleet Diesel Mechanic, we rely on you to keep our fleet of cars, buses, trucks, and heavy machinery running at top performance. You perform routine inspections of our vehicles and equipment, do preventative maintenance, and execute any necessary repairs. With your mechanical expertise, you're able to tackle engine, transmission, brake, and electrical issues. When you're not actively repairing vehicles and equipment, you help out with some administrative tasks to support the maintenance and repair process. You prepare detailed repair reports and document all the work you perform. As necessary, you track down and order rare or unusual parts. Your satisfaction comes from supporting a great team and taking on challenging mechanical problems! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FLEET DIESEL MECHANIC High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience as a mechanic working on a variety of vehicles and equipment Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment Knowledge of hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and pneumatic systems Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to vehicle maintenance and repair Valid driver's license and a good driving record Do you work well under pressure?
