POSITION OVERVIEW: As a key participant in the overall management of the company and as a member of the Executive Management Team, the Controller contributes to the development and execution of company strategic plans, both short and long term. The person in this role will manage and hold accountable the people and functions of Finance, Administration, IT and HR. The Controller will serve as the Executive Champion of all systems and tools that support these business areas of the Company to meet organizational goals and customer success. The Controller develops and manages budgets and accurate forecasts to achieve project revenue and profit targets. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as an advisor to the CEO and Executive Management team in all matters related to finance, budgeting, performance indicators and use of internal and external data to achieve progress toward the organization's mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all activities required for effective management of Finance, Administration, IT and HR Directly manages, hires, develops and retains staff in their respective functional areas Develops and maintains all accounting and financials standards and reporting Ensures the preparation and issuance of all corporate reporting requirements including, but not limited to: Quarterly and Annual Reports and other regulatory disclosure requirements are met Manages the banking, bonding, insurance and benefit renewal activities Ensures the financial statements accurately represent the financial position of the company and its operations Develops and oversees budgeting process, purchasing, inventory, data storage and retention policies Manages Internal Information Systems and Equipment Reviews the accounting and financial reporting systems and addresses required improvements Manages Human Resource generalist areas of support including employee relations, hiring, on-boarding and terminations and adherence to Company employment standards and procedures Champions EOS/Traction practices in finance and administration areas and throughout the company Develops lasting relationships with client, vendor and subcontractor personnel Supports and fosters our client's internal relationships, including those with Sales, Implementation, Purchasing and Service Champions data analysis and use of metrics throughout the company QUALIFICATIONS: Credentials Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Post graduate degree desired. Minimum of 5-year experience performing a controller function, including at least two years of management experience supervising a team Skills/Knowledge Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office. Continuing professional education post-graduation Excellent communication, oral and written Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, customer relation skills Personal Attributes Ability to multitask, excellent time-management and organizational skills Ability to work well under pressure Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
