Job Description: The RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments. Job Qualifications: G raduate of accredited School of Professional Nursing. Effective oral and written communication skills. Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas Board of Nursing. PALS and ACLS preferred - must obtain certification within 12 months of hire date. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I. Experience: One year experience as a professional Registered Nurse preferred. Technical Training: Current CPR Certification. IV Therapy course required. EKG Interpretation Course preferred. Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients who may become weak or helpless. M ust be able to work 12-hour shift, night shift from 7:00 pm -7:30 am. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
