POSITION SUMMARY The Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for developing concepts and creating designs using various means for the development of industrial products, under the direction of the Director of Operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Engineer and design product to specifications Build bill of materials structures Develop and implement testing plans as required Coordinate test and build activities Provide technical support Interface with vendors, other engineering and manufacturing groups as required Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not require supervisory responsibilities. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Foster a team-based approach focused on continuous improvement in every step of the value chain Promote a safe and clean work environment Provide 95% or greater on-time delivery based on development schedule Achieve operating profit goals for each project PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Working conditions are normal for an office environment Requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; steel toed shoes eye safety glasses when in manufacturing areas Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment for this position is typical for an office including protection from weather conditions and typical office equipment noise. The environment may occasionally include exposure to m oving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and working on scaffolding or high places.
