Operations Supervisor - Preowned Dept

Summary The Preowned Operations Supervisor performs the necessary duties to insure the successful order fulfillment of the Preowned Division. This person is responsible for the overall management and administration of the division team including overall supervision, hiring, training, discipline and personnel development, sales and shop coordination, and order fulfillment management with an overall emphasis on quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and team performance under budget. Skills needed for this position include supervising, organization, procedure writing, and training/development of personnel. Good oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational and analytical skills are required. This person will be responsible for handling projects from conception to completion: coordinating the order entry activities and delivery schedules, coordinating with customers, and property managers to insure a successful installation. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Division Ownership Provide technical support to and receive project information from sales. Ensure total customer satisfaction for all installation projects. Maintain vehicles, equipment, and supplies. Lead weekly team meetings. Provide weekly project status update to the Vice President of Operations. Work with the Vice President of Operations to develop the group's strategic vision. Sales and Shop Coordination Review Bill of Materials (BOMs) against drawings provided by Design. Create work orders for BOMs and Snaptracker inventories. Includes coordination with warehouse, shops, customers, and vendors as needed to finalize the order. Oversee and balance workload and schedule of Shop Supervisor - ensuring that Shop Supervisor has adequate materials (paint, fabric, etc.), space, and labor to complete jobs on schedule, at high quality, and under budget. Interact with vendors to discuss production, sample requests, shipping, vendor errors, and other pertinent issues. Order new products for projects and showroom. Order supplies and parts for inventory. Investigate order discrepancies with vendors and other customer satisfaction issues. Order Fulfillment Management Responsible for overall order fulfillment of all Pre-owned division projects. Directs and coordinates logistics activities - receiving, picking, and shipping. Establishes the operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, and handling of materials. Oversee Preowned inventory control and ensure inventory integrity. Ensures that the material handling group is properly trained on each station of the logistics cycle and when required, certified on all equipment. Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other departments, such as sales, transportation, staffing, purchasing, etc. Supervisory Responsibilities Shipping and Receiving Lead - Direct Shop Supervisor - Direct Warehouse Associate - Roxboro facility - Direct Preowned Sales Coordinator - Direct (Temporary - through transition) Education and/or Experience A valid North Carolina (or other state-issued) driver's license is required. Minimum 8 years of related experience preferred. Proven organizational and follow-through skills are required. Proven leadership ability skills required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
