WHO YOU ARE As a Class A CDL Driver, you connect our products with our customers. Whether loading product onto the vehicle at our warehouse or unloading it at a customer's location, safety is always front of mind when making any decision on the job. You are a team player that professionally represents New South and its customer-first philosophy and are accountable for helping New South drive to success. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and deliver construction materials to residential, commercial, and industrial job sites and offices. Be familiar with all local, state, federal, and DOT regulations. Operate a DOT-regulated class A flatbed truck safely and competently. Operate a truck-mounted forklift safely and competently. Provide exceptional customer service. Assist in warehouse and shipping, receiving responsibilities as assigned. Assist in the cleanliness of assigned vehicles and work environment. Qualifications Be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Must have and maintain a current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card. Must have a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL). Be able to travel 200-400 miles daily. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and associates. Basic mathematic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and simple fractions and decimals. Ability to safely lift and manage up to 80 lbs. of product Preferred Skills 2 or more years of CDL driving experience. HAZMAT certification. Prior forklift and truck-mounted forklift experience. Prior construction industry experience. Prior customer interaction experience. Basic computer skills. WHAT WE OFFER More than just a job.
