Primary Function Provide member services, which includes various monetary transactions. Major Duties and Responsibilities Render member service, which includes various financial transactions, opening and closing accounts, responding to needs and concerns of the members. Count and balance teller drawer daily. Balances transaction receipts and disbursements to grand total daily. Sell traveler's checks, money orders, tickets, etc. Cross-sells services of credit union and refers members to proper credit union personnel in this regard. Answering phone inquiries or referring calls, perform clerical/office functions as needed. Signs up new members for payroll deduction and processes changes in payroll deductions. Prepares journal vouchers for transfer of funds between member's accounts. Perform other duties as required. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Must be a high school graduate. Must be able to operate a computer and office equipment, typing skills essential. Background in bookkeeping desirable. Accuracy skill in handling money and ability to get along with members and co-workers. Member/customer service experience is helpful. Ability to speak English and Spanish is preferred.
