Who are You? You are a Strategic Advisor , interested in supporting our client's cross functional support needs in a Department of Defense research laboratory. In this role, you will enhance our team of workforce and organizational change management experts who advise our client on how to achieve their 2030 Human Capital Vision in support of the workforce of the future. Your impact will provide clear actionable advice on current issues as well as new opportunities using your extensive experience of project and program management. You will represent, collaborate, and advise senior leadership goals and priorities to key partners and stakeholders and make recommendations on challenges you identify during your regular project updates. Your impact will include: Providing clear strategic goals for client using the outcomes of a tactical environment Ensure effective cross communications between client and stakeholders Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance of multiple projects across a portfolio Capturing and advising program cost, schedule, performance, and risk Ensure peak program performance based on daily operations engagement and oversight Supporting day-to-day client delivery, understanding, identifying, and articulating the engagement value to team and clients You'll arrive equipped with: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 8+ years of project and program management, ideally in the DoD environment 8+ years of consulting experience in an established mid to large firm with key clients in Federal, DoD, and/or commercial markets Excellent organizational skills Experience in the use of AGILE methodology "Roll up your sleeves" attitude - willingness to jump into new areas and learn new skills Impeccable communication skills, especially with the written word Some experience managing and presenting data, especially with creation of dashboards and executive level visual aids: toolset experience should include MS Excel, with other Business Intelligence (BI) Tools a plus (e.g., MS PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) U.S. citizenship (the nature of our work with the federal government limits our hiring to U.S. citizens) Flexibility to commute regularly within the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and travel out-of-town (up to 20%). Hybrid work environment anticipated, to include on-site and virtual locations.
