The ideal candidate will lead the technical support team and ensure completion of help desk system tickets and related projects, by reviewing, prioritizing and assigning appropriately. SCHEDULE Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays ( 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m .). Will also be on call on a rotating schedule. LOCATION This person will work at our 900 E 23rd location in Hutchinson, KS. ABOUT THIS POSITION The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities: Responsible for leading the technical support team through hiring, training, coaching and development. Provides leadership for complex and sensitive tech support activities. Coordinates department scheduling and coverage for adequate phone and on-call support coverage. Schedules regular branch visits. Manages company help desk ticketing system by prioritizing, assigning and ensuring the completion of each. Ensures HCU personnel are provided with technical support in a timely (according to established SLAs) and professional manner. Sets up and installs new systems, servers, computers, and equipment and for performing upgrades on existing equipment. Performs preventive and diagnostic maintenance on computers, systems, and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoots and analyzes problems on network and server equipment. Designs, develops, implements and coordinates systems, policies and procedures. Performs preventative and diagnostic maintenance on servers, network and data center equipment. Sets up and installs new systems, servers, and network equipment and performs upgrades on new and existing equipment. Maintains software library and all company networks. Provides superior service to our HCU staff. Ensures HCU staff are promptly and professionally served Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's culture and brand. Performs all other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience is helpful. Five+ years of computer, server, and network administration is helpful. Prior supervisor or project management experience is helpful. SKILLS: Ability to assist and supervise others. Well-organized and attentive to detail. Able to meet deadlines and manage projects. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to operate necessary testing and repair equipment. Good research and problem-solving skills. Excellent logic and reasoning skills. Ability to work well independently. Able to operate related computer applications and PC. Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Flexible and open to change. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver's license. Pass criminal background check, drug screen, credit check and past employment and education verification. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to sit, stand, and walk. Standing for extended periods of time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
