Airframe Fabrication Technician

Description:
Essential Functions: Fabricate sheet metal parts in accordance with the current technical data provided Layout, drill , bend parts on brake, form and trim aircraft sheet metal parts Properly record the work performed on the appropriate parts Able to operate brakes, shears, grinders, band saw, and other machinery using safety equipment while maintaining oneself and shop safety. Proficient in reading engineering drawing, technical data, and other work instruction to fabricate/manufacture parts to 0.030(thirty thousandths) with consistent accuracy. Able to perform a work shift standing up to 11 hours. Able to lift up to 30 lbs. with regularity. Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Parts fabrication experience a plus A & P license or military aircraft experience a plus Highly recommended to be able to use tools: drill motor, 90 degrees drill motor, rivet gun and sets, dye grinders, cleco pliers, countersink cages and standard hand tools Knowledge of aircraft hardware and materials and processes a plus Ability to identify, install and remove common aircraft fasteners a plus Basic print reading skills and layout skills required Strong work ethic and integrity AEVEX provides a full suite of comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage with a portion of the premiums paid by the company, professional development funds, and an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with counseling, legal help, child and elder care support, among other benefits.
