Job Title: Grounds Assistant Status: Full Time Shift/Hours: 7am - 3:30pm, flexible hours may be needed. Basic knowledge of lawn mowing, mulching, tree trimming, snow removal, general equipment maintenance, and general grounds maintenance. Current/valid driver's license What will I do as a Grounds Assistant with Messiah Lifeways? Carries out all requests assigned by the Manager. These requests may include, but are not limited to, any of the following: Lawn mowing Weed whacking/string trimming Snow/ice removal Mulching Tree and shrubbery trimming/pruning Weeding Trash/recycling collection Room setups involving setting tables, chairs, etc., for special functions Routine maintenance duties as requested by residents or departments On-Call: Is responsible to help with on-call coverage of all weather-related emergencies 24/7. Must be willing to alter work schedule to accommodate special needs such as snow plowing/removal and preventive maintenance projects.
