THE COMPANY Lanvera is a leading CCM (Customer Communications Management) outsourcing and technology company specializing in the design, production, and delivery of secure customer communications including invoices, statements, tax forms, collection letters, compliance notices and other business critical documents to any delivery channel including print, electronic and mobile platforms. Lanvera has a strong presence in the Financial Services industry and is expanding into other vertical markets. We have been significantly increasing our software development team for designing and developing the next generation of our processing infrastructure, customer portal, and electronic delivery platforms. THE POSITION The Senior Back-End Software Developer position is a hands-on role that emphasizes advanced knowledge of developing back-end web applications with the .NET developer platform. This role requires working with a team of Business Analysts and a team of Architects to translate business and technical requirements into applications. This role also requires working with Front-End developers to finalize deliverables. Along with the development of business applications, the Senior Back-End Software Developer is expected to act as a leader and mentor to other Developers on the team, a designer of systems and solutions, and an author of documentation. THE TEAM Lanvera has multiple software development teams, each focused on specific problem domains. Each development team contains multiple Developers, including one or more Lead Developers, who report to a Director of Development. The development teams work as part of a business development lifecycle, which also includes product managers, business analysts, an architecture team, a UX design team, quality assurance analysts, a DevOps team, and IT operations staff. RESPONSIBILITIES Work within a Software Development team to implement and deliver business applications. Implement high quality, secure, and maintainable code. Integrate REST APIs, developed using the .NET developer platform, with UI pages. Write code to read and manage data from databases and other applications. Convert business and technical requirements into code. Drive assigned tasks to completion (highly motivated, gets things done, self-starter) Work effectively within a team environment, including technical and non-technical Lanvera employees, to implement projects in a timely manner. Mentor and advise less experienced team members. Work with other developers to define development patterns and best practices. Contribute technical documentation (low-level architectural diagrams, ERDs, etc.) REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience as a Back-End developer, with strong knowledge of: The .NET platform and C# language Microsoft SQL Server Debugging and troubleshooting with Visual Studio JSON or XML Data Transformation Managing external libraries and packages with NuGet Experience with Git and peer code reviews Experience with Azure DevOps Boards (or similar work item tracking software) Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills Comfortable individually or collaboratively whiteboarding and designing systems. Strong attention to detail DESIRED SKILLS net (or similar unit testing tool) RabbitMQ (or similar .NET message broker) Build pipelines, release/deployment pipelines, and CI/CD Docker Kubernetes Developing internet-facing applications and applications used by multiple tenants. Experience with, or a willingness to learn, Front-End technologies.
