SCHEDULE : 7:00am - 3:30pm M-F PAY FREQUENCY: Bi-Weekly PAY TYPE: Salary SUMMARY The E-Commerce Merchandising Specialist acts as a website optimization expert focused on managing site development and updates for the e-commerce side of the business, and utilizing data to ensure our brand message, strategies, and E-Commerce results meet or exceed company goals. This position will collaborate cross functionally to collect necessary content to use for each product or service offering, and is responsible for creating and updating promotions calendars, tracking all e-commerce marketing efforts, and analyzing data to continually optimize our strategies and results. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced, e-Commerce business Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining e-Commerce websites/portals. Hands-on experience managing digital product inventory. BS degree in Marketing or relevant field strongly preferred POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong knowledge of the e-Commerce space that includes marketing strategies, various leading e-Commerce website builders (e.g., Shopify, Elementor), product development, competitive strategies, consumer research, industry trends and usability best practices. Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to pull together feedback and information from various teams and sources to reach the best conclusion. Strong critical thinking, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of various platforms and online sales strategies and can be used to conduct digital sales or website conversions Comprehensive understanding of account-specific SEO best practices, pricing policies, media assets, inventory and/or pre-orders. Familiarity with web design and a keen eye to detail. Proficient with web metrics, testing methodologies, and data analysis. Demonstrated understanding of retail merchandising strategies and customer service principles. Demonstrated commitment to staying current on SEO practices. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail. Ability and desire to grow in the position and accept more responsibility. Ability to take initiative in providing new ideas to improve process efficiencies. Ability to maintain consistent attendance, arriving on time and prepared for all shifts, meetings, and appointments. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS, AND BEHAVIORS include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop, monitor, write and update product content contained on eCommerce websites/portals. Develop subject matter expertise in assigned product categories and take ownership of daily business administration on assigned accounts. Cultivate standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, and new product listings. Work with product management, sales, graphics, and other relevant departments to review, edit, and coordinate web assets, including product descriptions, to be shared across eCommerce platforms. Use spreadsheets or Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's etc.) in addition to web analytics to stay organized and monitor changes in product sales and identify opportunities for improvement. Manage online inventory. Monitor changes in Website traffic or increase in sales. Develop innovative processes to efficiently create B2C targeted content from a variety of internal and external sources. Find customer insights in e-commerce data to share with product marketing to improve products and/or sales in all channels. Take on new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role by identifying problems and finding solutions. In-office attendance required 5 days a week. WORKING CONDITIONS The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities: Regular use of PC, laptop, copier, fax, and other general office equipment. Ability to access all areas of the facility to perform essentials functions of the position. Noise level for this environment is low to moderate.
