This position is: Full Time Position Location: Lake Charles, LA JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Medical Assistant GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Medical Assistant is needed to provide duties in a medical office setting. This position requires prior surgical experience or experience in surgical setting. Duties include vital signs, rooming patients, prescription refills, lab and imaging order entry, EMR data entry, and telephone triage. This is a permanent, 40-hour per week, benefits-eligible position. REQUIREMENTS: National medical assistant certification or Louisiana LPN license required. Non-certified medical assistants must have at least two years of medical office experience in order to qualify. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
