Reviewing physicians notes and charts for accuracy & assigning appropriate medical codes to all diagnoses or services Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper. Ability to handle error free electronic billing on a daily basis for faster turn around Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA and other rules and regulations Reviews accounts for possible assignment and makes recommendations to the Billing Supervisor, also prepares information for the collection agency.
