We are looking to fill several Park Maintenance positions with the Lee County Government.These are contract positions with no set end dateWork location can be throughout Lee County; Cape Coral, Boca Grande, Bokeelia, Bonita Springs, East Dunbar, Estero, Gasparilla, Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, South Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, and Fort Myers.Days and times may vary with location.Pay: 17.00-31.00/hourPosition details are as follows:Work may include a variety of tasks such as cleaning facilities, maintaining parks,athletic fields, beaches, athletic courts, landscaping, and inspecting equipment in order to provide safe, attractiveareas for public use. Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to cleaning restrooms andfacilities, empty waste receptacles, pick up litter, perform landscaping duties (mowing, pruning, watering,planting, etc.), inspect playground and other equipment (for signs of wear, vandalism, etc.), unlock/lock facilitiesat appropriate times, collect fees and prepare deposit slips and athletic field maintenance.Knowledge, skills and abilities may include, operate hand tools and small equipment in a safe manner, deal withpublic in a prompt, professional and courteous manner, detect improper function equipment, perform basicmaintenance on hand tools and small equipment, depending on assignment the ability to perform basicmathematical skills, drive utility cart vehicle, lift 50 pounds and work outside during all seasons.
