Position : Community/Home Based Skills Trainer Supervisor: Samantha Michelli-Rivera Location: Springfield, MA Shift Available: Afternoons/Evenings/Weekend *** Pay Rate: $15-$20/hr.- Contingent on education and level of experience. Responsibilities: Seeking experienced individual interested in supporting a thirteen-year-old boy with autism to assist in making community connections, facilitate social engagement, communication skills, and maximize his independence in performing daily living skills. The candidate must be a self-starter, creative, enthusiastic, and an effective communicator. The candidate will need to understand and implement Positive Behavioral Support, work well with families and demonstrate good organizational skills. The candidate must be responsible, reliable, and patient. Required Qualifications: Candidate must be able to pass a CORI and fingerprinting check Have reliable transportation and a good driving record. Candidate must be 18 years or older and have direct experience working with individuals ages 6-22 years old. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual strongly recommended Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree Training in Positive Behavioral Support Interventions Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license & vehicle.
