About the PositionWe are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our growing team in the San Diego, CA office. The ideal candidate possesses a background in Cathodic Protection (CP) systems, particularly as they pertain to military (Department of Defense) fueling systems. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing field data on the status of CP systems and creating detailed reports with recommendations for CP system improvements. Key Responsibilities will include: * Analyzing and interpreting field data collected from CP systems installed on military fueling assets. * Writing comprehensive reports, summarizing findings, highlighting areas of concern, and suggesting system upgrades or replacements. * Collaborating with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and CP system design. * Translating technical field data into understandable documents for non-technical stakeholders. * Staying updated with the latest industry practices and NACE/AMPP standards related to CP systems.Experience and Qualifications * NACE CP-1, CP-2, CP-3, or CP-4 Certification preferred, not required * Proven experience as a Technical Writer in the field of cathodic protection. * Exceptional Microsoft Word and Excel skills (to be tested/verified during interview process). * Basic knowledge of CP testing, design, and troubleshooting is required. * Experience with military fueling systems and standards is highly desirable. * Prior military work in a relevant field will be considered a significant asset. * Ability to analyze complex data and synthesize it into clear, actionable reports. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work. * Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally.About PondPond is an award-winning, full-service architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, and environmental services firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for nearly 60 years. We anticipate filling this position as a Integrity Specialist I with a salary range of $57,900.00 - $85,200.00 .Additional cash incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on position offered.
