A non-profit organization is seeking an Accountant to support the finance team through a variety of accounting functions. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Job Responsibilities: Prepare monthly billing statements and aged receivable report, monitor and verify accuracy of customer accounts, identify delinquent balances, and work with management for collectionReview and track financial aid for compliance with company policies, participate in month-end and annual accounting closing process, and the transition to a new accounting softwareTrack project costs and related reports for analysis, assist in the budgeting process at year-end, and prepare journal entries and account reconciliationsHandle out-going mail, track postage and office equipmentProvide other duties as needed Job RequirementsQualifications: Must have an Associate?s degree in Accounting or equivalent fieldMust have 1 to 2 years Accounting experience with a working knowledge of GAAPMust be proficient using Microsoft Office, have accurate data entry skills, and the ability to adapt to various software packagesMust have excellent organizational and communication skillsMust have good problem-solving and time management skillsMust have the ability to pay a high attention to detailOnly candidates that can pass a drug screen and background check will be considered.
