Rochester Midland Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Operator for their Aurora, IL facility. The Warehouse Operator , under moderate supervision, picks and prepares orders for shipping using a Radio Frequency (RF) device, loads and unloads trucks, and adheres to warehouse procedures and safety standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Load and unload carrier vehicles receiving/delivering goods and materials for the warehouse, ensuring correct item counts per supplier packing list and BOL Operate forklift in multi-level racking system Customer order processing using RF device- pick, palletize and shrink wrap items for shipping using proper procedures for weight and hazards Locate, condense and maintain product in storage areas per RF device in a neat and orderly fashion Maintain safety awareness in and around work areas, observe and report potential areas of concern, and wear/use appropriate safety equipment EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION : High School Diploma or Equivalent EXPERIENCE: 2 years sit down forklift experience 2 years warehouse/shipping experience in manufacturing environment SKILLS: Strong ability to read and comprehend English Manual dexterity Ability to multitask Knowledge of basic mathematics Ability to problem solve RF scanning device knowledge preferred but not necessary Basic computer knowledge COMPETENCIES: Detail oriented Action oriented Critical thinking Product knowledge Technical skills Drive for results Effective communication (verbal & written) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
