Improve the overall quality and value of products and services delivered to our customers * On-time delivery for all orders, all regions.- Proven success with efficient production line organization and output improvement.- Proven history of successful creation and implementation of training programs & operational procedures. Requirements: Functional Operations Leadership Responsibilities: Deliver sustained profit growth year over year while maintaining or increasing margins * Define and implement strategic manufacturing plans to ensure products are built in the appropriate manufacturing location for the market, at the lowest total cost for the volume forecast. * Develop and implement inventory management practices to increase inventory turns- Instrumentation manufacturing experience, or similar- Ability to communicate with executives up to the parent company level, is able to discuss the marketplace and technology, is able to articulate compelling value propositions for customers and their associated business impact- Possesses the technical and business acumen to uniquely apply technologies and capabilities to high-impact client opportunities derived from a sound understanding of operational core competencies and capabilities- ISO9000 experience- A visionary who understands the big picture, who can think strategically and act tactically. Is grounded in quantitative and qualitative analysis.- 10+ years of equivalent operations management background in the industry- Outstanding presentation skills, strong competence in preparing and presenting business direction, strategies, products, services, and capabilities.- high product mix manufacturing, ideally of configured products- Ability to work and thrive in a functional organization, work across geographical regions and diverse cultures- Excellent computer (Microsoft Suite) and analytical abilities- Periodic travel required throughout the regions in which the company operates.- Continuously improve manufacturing KPIs, including improving margins by material cost, labour cost and overhead reductionsThe preferred applicant will have:- Proven background to prioritize and develop and implement strategic plans. * Self – Starter with a reputation as a “can do – get the job done” personality with superb motivational skills to encourage contribution and involvement from of others.- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and the ability to lead team to constant Lean improvement.- Has designed and/or implemented OSHA programs.- A team builder and excellent communicator who presents ideas in a fashion where “Buy In” is readily achieved.- experience of managing at least 50 people- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities (oral and written) and the ability to motivate and lead a diverse work force to achieve desired results.- Excellent strategic planning ability.- Is directly in touch with the day-to-day activities and realities of the operations team and recognizes when to remove obstacles that potentially impede the operations team’s tactical and strategic success- A proven skill to work cross-functionally within the company, as well as with customers, distributors and outside constituents.- Embraces a style of accountability, continuous improvement and acts with a sense of urgency.- Unquestionable integrity and honesty. No personal agendas. Other preferred and emphasized requirements include: * Make-up embodies hiring “A-Players” and coaching an operations organization to become a world-class performing team- Reduction of lead times.- A demonstrated background to work well under pressure, thrives in a fast pace environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Oracle, or similar ERP system experience - ideally Oracle E-Business Suite.- Procurement management.- Excellent oral and writing skills- Improvement of customer- Proven history of successful goal setting, achievement, and employee management.- Superior project skills that encompass multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.- prefer someone with engineering or science experience, and experience in an engineering role- Ensure top staff are A-rated.
