Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC-MN) is an established and renowned AAHA-accredited emergency/specialty hospital that is 100% owned by local veterinarians. With two, 24/7 facilities in the Twin Cities area, we build meaningful relationships with our community by treating one another with kindness, dignity, and respect. Role Title: Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian - Criticalist or DVM (or equivalent) credentials required Department: Emergency Critical Care Schedule: Variable - Rotating schedule options. Weekends Required. Holidays required. 17 shifts every six weeks (Scheduled 2.8 shifts per week) Compensation: Salary, plus commission incentives Relocation: Eligible Signing Bonus: Eligible Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance provided at up to 80% covered by AERC. Short-Term, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and EAP provided at no additional cost to you. PTO accrual based on tenure. Uniform, Pet, and CE stipends available, and more. We are looking to add an additional criticalist to enhance our prominently established specialty department. The ideal candidate will be board-certified, or a Resident close to earning their credentials. We are also looking to add an additional ER/ICU DVM to support our emergency department veterinarians, and potential coverage for future urgent care services. The ideal candidate will have at least one year clinical experience, either from an internship program, or clinical experience post graduation. Who is AERC? AERC-MN provides services supported by specialists in Emergency Critical Care Internal Medicine Surgery Anesthesia Cardiology Neurology Dentistry Dermatology Oncology Radiology Ophthalmology and Avian/Exotics Our team is comprised of outstanding emergency doctors, boarded specialists, seasoned veterinary technicians, excellent support personnel and experienced administrators. Our Professional History: AERC-MN was established over 30 years ago as an after hour's emergency facility for the veterinary community. In 2010 when we converted to being a 24/7 hospital and introduced our first specialists in ECC and Internal Medicine. Throughout the years we have grown and implemented additional specialty services. In 2016 we expanded by adding a 25,000 square foot work-space to better serve our clients and patients at our Oakdale facility. Due to our continued and consistent growth, we will launch construction plans to complement our Oakdale facility in the spring of 2023 to add an urgent care department to our list of services. We recently transferred our existing specialty departments into a three-story, 45,000 square-foot veterinary center, where we can spread our wings and soar to new heights.
