Position Summary This position is responsible for providing a continuous supply of rock from crusher or stock pile to plant areas. We are seeking a Driver to support our 3rd shift, which will work from 11:00pm to 7:00am Principal Duties & Responsibilities • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip service and inspections of vehicle, and reports any concerns or unsafe conditions to immediate Supervisor, including near misses and any other areas where safety may be improved. • Ensures that all delivery materials are firmly secured, and all parts of truck are in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. • Communicates clearly with other drivers for traffic control. • Communicates with Production Supervisor when problems arise with equipment. • Operates water truck when directed to do so by Production Supervisor. • Ensures equipment is in good operating condition, making minor repairs as needed. • Inspects work area for unsafe conditions. • Provides high pressure water wash to specialized needs when required. • Troubleshoots trucks and other equipment. • Knowledgeable of ISO quality system as required to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 quality standard. • Maintains accurate and legible records. • Employee must learn and observe all applicable company policies, safe practices and perform all duties assigned by the Production Supervisor. • Performs other duties as assigned. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills • High School Diploma or GED required. • Valid class B CDL driver’s license. • Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc). • Ability to read, comprehend and follow safety policy manuals, MSHA regulations, SOP’s, SDS, and various production schedules/reports. • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations that include the following: multiplication, addition, and percentages – all of which can be accomplished with the use of a calculator if needed. • Ability to work on First Shift or Second shift, which will work from 7:00am until 3:00pm or 3:00pm until 11:00pm, if needed.
