TENDER DRIVER/AGRONOMY OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT: Agronomy LOCATION: Pierron, IL REPORTS TO: Agronomy Operations Supervisor CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt/Hourly, Seasonal position SUMMARY: Responsible for delivery and distribution of agronomy products ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Drives a tender truck and delivers chemical and fertilizer supplies to customer locations and applicator/ operators in the field. Loads chemicals and fertilizer products into trucks, in customer vehicles, and in shuttles. Mix fertilizer or chemicals properly to ensure quality standards and accuracy Performs basic maintenance on tender trucks and equipment in agronomy department. Operates forklifts, pay loader, and other equipment as needed. Maintain housekeeping of chemical and fertilizer sheds as assigned Maintain a high level of customer service and a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and a favorable image of the cooperative. QUALIFICATIONS: Class B CDL Required Class A CDL and/or Hazmat Endorsement Preferred Effective communication and interpersonal skills. HS Diploma or GED Agriculture background preferred but not required Must be willing to work overtime - includes weekends and holidays, at times PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and chemicals. Position requires the ability to drive a truck, lifting weights of sixty (60) pounds or less, bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than fifty (50) pounds.
