We are a stable and growing company who offers our employees a rich benefits package, supportive and flexible work environment, and the opportunity to work with experts in their field.The Position: We are in search of Senior Cyber Software Subject Matter Expert to support the future development and maintenance of our cyber-security classroom training infrastructure. The current infrastructure for our courses supports the creation of virtual sandbox networks for students to practice performing exploits on various virtual and real-world targets. This role will be to support bringing the current prototype implementation of this infrastructure to a production-ready product capable of servicing a wide array of current and future cyber-security courses. The candidate should have both offensive and defensive cyber knowledge and experience, both academic and practical.The Location: Remote/ CONUS. US For more information about AM Pierce & Associates/ATG, please visit our website at www.ampierce.com .The Description: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field OR M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 15 to 20+ years of relevant work experience. US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance Demonstrated software programming and IP networking experience. Analyze technical content and identify learning objectives for technical audiences Design instructional materials, such as training guides, job aids, and e-learning modules, that effectively communicate technical concepts to learners Experience with a debugging or system analysis tool (i.e., Wireshark, IDAPro, OllyDebug, WinDBG, JTAG debuggers) An advanced understanding of offensive and defensive Cybersecurity tools, concerns, techniques, exploitations, etc. Education and Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in system administration, performing the functional duties for this position. Operating System certificate (i.e. Windows or Linux) and COMPTIA Security + or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required. BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline.  Desired Skillsets: Able to obtain a Secret DoD clearance. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field Experience in software development to include any of the following: kernel mode, embedded, command and control, web applications, network applications Experience with SDLC (software development life cycle) Familiarity with Assembly Languages (x86, x64, MIPS, PPC, or ARM) Experience developing software for multiple operating system environments Experience with virtual machine technology OS Internals experience Development of lower-level networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP Ability to develop and implement shell code Ability to understand secure / insecure programming concepts (format string vulnerabilities, heap overflows, etc.) Familiarity with common source control tools and automated build system workflows Advanced Cybersecurity understanding with Penetration Testing or Red Teaming experience The Working Environment: The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.
