Internally, our focus is on our employees' professional and technical development and we believe mentorship is essential to success. We seek the immediate service of a Technical Editor/Writer. This position will provide services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). The selected candidate will support the creation and publication of technical documentations and manuals. They will support NETCOM in collection and interpretation of technical data or information and coordination of layouts for publication to Army Enterprise programs at various life cycle stages. Responsibilities Include: Be trusted to coordinate and edit technical writing projects and prepare meeting materials, including minutes Prepare, compile, review/edit, and distribute quality documentation such as deliverables, manuals, specifications, briefings, information papers, technical reports, and other correspondence as requested Participate in meetings and prepare meeting materials including minutes Review and edit correspondence for changes in spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage and correct format style for the intended audience, ensuring adherence to established standards and guidelines Format and structure documents and prepare tables and charts Collect and combine technical information from multiple sources and compile it into a single coherent flowing document Manage and track numerous, diverse, simultaneous efforts and have the ability to effectively prioritize requirements for multiple on-going projects in support of a large project team Maintain best practice knowledge of customer and corporate style guides, templates, and industry standards for writing and design of documents Communicate exceptionally with personnel at varying levels using effective interpersonal and communication skills Skills & Knowledge: Familiarity with the MS Office Suite of tools - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, DoD and DA technical documentation development, parlance, and regulatory guidance. Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio Analytical and problem-solving skills, interpersonal relationship skills, demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates in special projects as required Education: AA/AS or equivalent experience Qualifications/Certifications: DoD 8570.1-M Certification: None ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification is beneficial, but not required.
