We are looking for temporary support workers to cover holiday/sickness leave for permanent support workers our client that receieves 2:1 support in their home, 7 days a week between 10am and 6pm every day. Client has Aspergers and learning disabilities, dermatitis, eczema, and type 2 diabetes. Client will have episodes of a heightened state of anxiety, so experience with challenging behaviours is required. Client will need general support work such as cleaning, cooking, taking medication, going out in the community. Client may need some personal care including changing clothes, support with bathing and toileting. Clients behaviour and understanding in social situations can impact on ability to interact and client can misinterpret situations to create conflict with those around them. The right candidate will have the ability to remain professional and communicate clearly, verbally reinforcing boundaries around what behaviour is and isnt acceptable, whilst remembering the work place is the clients home.
