Employment Type : Intern Job Location: Chicago Supervisor: Mike Glick, Vice President, Global Supply Chain Internship Description : National Safety Apparel, located in Chicago, IL is looking for students pursuing degrees in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or Reporting / Analytics with an interest in Supplier Management, Procurement and Planning. Our interns will have the opportunity to work with operators, maintenance, supervisors, and engineers. While the focus is on supplier data and purchasing analysis there are opportunities to gain knowledge and practical experience in a wide range of functions in each department. Responsibilities: Supplier & Material Data Development / Clean-up Design for Analytics associated with Procurement & Planning Assist with strategy development & design for an Enterprise Supplier Management organization Support Purchasing team in contacting vendors for the purposes of supplier information updates, order status and expediting Experience/Qualifications: Currently pursuing degrees in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Reporting / Analytics or other similar disciplines with an interest in Supplier Management, Procurement and Planning. Strong Excel and database skills. SQL experience a plus.
