We are looking for a Steel Fitter and a Steel Fitter Supervisor to install secondary steelwork and architectural metalwork from a base in the Rochdale area, on sites around the UK. Depending on the wishes of the candidate, this can either be on a permanent staff, temporary to permanent, or on-going contract basis. We are looking for a Steel Fitter and a Steel Fitter Supervisor to install secondary steelwork and architectural metalwork from a base in the Rochdale area, on sites around the UK. Depending on the wishes of the candidate, this can either be on a permanent staff, temporary to permanent, or on-going contract basis. Pay rates of circa £30-32k per annum for staff salary plus annual discretionary bonus, or Outside of IR35 Ltd / Umbrella contractors at £20.50-21.50 per hour for 38 hours per week or the PAYE equivalent if preferred, with regular overtime paid. Occasional weekend work is optional. Hotels are provided and paid for where required with a daily expenses allowance. Working as one of the successful Steel Fitter’s, you will work within an outfitting team operating UK wide to install in house manufactured products while working effectively and efficiently to ensure overall project success. Your experience will either include some or all of the below: Balustrades including mild steel, stainless steel, brass and glazing Specialist fabrications in to bespoke client briefs Structural steelwork Stainless steel and brass fabrications All aspects of site installations Essential requirements: Full UK Driving Licence Understand Engineering drawings Use of measuring equipment Ability to work alone or as part of a team Excellent communication skills Willingness to work and stay away Capability of using power tools confidently Would be an advantage if your experience includes: Previous time served in a similar role fitting architectural metalwork and structural steelwork Valid CSCS card IPAF & PASMAArchitectural Metalwork NVQ or similar MIG/TIG.
