Jireh Packing Company, a citrus packing company located in Orange Cove and Woodlake, CA and headquarters in Orange Cove is seeking a dynamic and self starting Staff Accountant with a keen eye for detail. We are always seeking talented individuals to join our team. As a member of the finance and accounting team, this position is responsible for accounting functions related to the preparation of internal monthly financial statements and external reporting and other finance and accounting duties. This position offers a variety of work within finance and will expose the individual to various aspects of Jireh Packing Company affiliate businesses. The individual will work closely with the Controller to achieve the companies financial objectives. If you are an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you. The position will be fully in-person.Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work with the team for timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closing. Create and enter journal entries as needed for all Jireh Companies and Kings Corner Ministries. Perform monthly flux analysis (comparison of two accounting periods to identify and analyze significant variations) Review and approve accounts payable vouchers daily. Assist with annual tax preparation processes to provide necessary documentation and information to support tax and audit compliance (business tax, property tax, and 1099 submissions, bank audit etc.) Perform monthly farm management billing. Perform monthly bank reconciliation. Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements. Provide support for ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed by the Controller. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience in accounting, auditing or a related field Experience with Famous software is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Vlookup, Pivot table, IF formulas) Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and works well in teams. Must be a self-starter and willing to assume ownership of assigned projects and duties.
