Summary: Captains of Industry is a Content Marketing Studio looking for a talented Senior Designer who’s ready for their next career leap – working with a company that really cares about great design and big ideas. We need a designer with a strong portfolio of beautiful design, from web sites and all things interactive, to digital content such as videos and eBooks, to logos and print literature. The right applicant brings an entrepreneurial spirit, a drive to do great things, dedication and integrity, and an expertise to work well with the other Captains as we continue to grow the company. See our Manifesto at www.captainsofindustry.com/manifesto.Job assignments: Take lead role in designing a broad spectrum of projects and campaigns (e.g. web, mobile, print) to create innovative design concepts that blow us away and get resultsMake and present design recommendations to team members, and help clients tell their story through design that captures eyes, minds, and hearts.Use feedback constructively and stand up for quality and reasoning behind design decisions.See projects through completion from start to finish, on budget and on time.Manage and mentor junior designers and interns and train them on Captains’ design standards.Collaborate together with and take direction from Creative Director and Lead Creative Strategist. Requirements: Is at that point in their career when they want to go for it. They’ve always been a Captain. Now they can live it.Bachelor’s degree Fine Arts or related position or equivalent training/certification.Min 5yrs of relevant background in a design studio, marketing agency, or corporate marketing department.An eye for user friendly and smart design, as demonstrated in a portfolio that includes interactive, web and print.Has an entrepreneurial spirit and drive.Doesn’t wait to take action on something that can help grow the company.Wants to work on accounts that are changing the worldWorks well with others, and checks attitude at the door.Enjoys working in a creative culture.Can handle multiple projects at once, prioritize and meet deadlines, while managing available resources and outside vendors. Points out and finds solutions to issues along the way.Stays on top of current design trends and software programs.Expert in full range of design software packages such as Adobe CS and After Effects for Mac OS.Works hard.
