Title: Sr Client Propositions MgrLocation: North America-United States-New York-New YorkJob Number: 00002F6UAdds value by reflecting the core strengths of the globally relevant US manufactured capabilities (currently Emerging Market Debt, Global High Income & Global High Yield), positioning the products and applying globally relevant messaging across key distribution locations and channels. Originates client materials to meet cross border distribution objectives of Asset Management (AMG), communicating globally relevant US manufactured investment capabilities to key external clients on a global basis. Produces and delivers client materials relating to local and global strategies/products for distribution through client-facing teams in North America. Supports regional and global investment and product communications processes managed through Client Propositions. Supports regional sales and client services teams in the production of any local materials and localization of the global suite of client materials to support distribution of local equivalent funds in the US and Canada. Organizes, produces and integrates investment marketing, product collateral materials, product communications, product promotion and campaign management activity (including event management). Handles local implementation in North America and project management for cross border initiatives. Ensures adherence with production processes; coordinates relevant local and international approvals and maintains the integrity of local/regional audit requirements.Impact on the Business· Accountable to Regional & Global Head of Client Propositions for content consistency and quality assurance of all aspects of client propositions support activity working in conjunction with product and the investment team· Position AMG and globally relevant North American manufactured capabilities and products appropriately to reflect the core strengths of the capability, creating and applying globally relevant messaging across key distribution locations· Support and develop retention-related client reporting, product and investment communications to maximize positive impact with clients· Ensure our investment marketing capabilities and outputs match to the standard of international industry leaders· Manage the integration of different marketing and communication sources to ensure high-quality marketing materials are appropriately tailored and delivered to key clients· Ensure workflow and operational processes are effectively executed and that available resources are applied efficientlyCustomers / Stakeholders· North America Investment Professionals/Manufacturing platform· Capability Heads/Product Specialists· CEOs and Sales Management (North America and Cross border)· Global and Regional Head of Client Propositions· Compliance and RiskLeadership & Teamwork· Maintain high awareness of the organization of Client Propositions and communicate and coordinate with colleagues across the network to ensure efficient delivery· Manage diverse stakeholders, working with senior personnel in the investment, product and business development teams to deliver high-quality communications materials· Maintain high credibility and effective influencing of the local investment team and business heads on a global basis· Manage complex projects effectively, including prioritizing initiatives in light of resources availableOperational Effectiveness & Control· Own operational processes for the Client Propositions team and links to infrastructure required to support delivery· Work with Compliance to ensure streamlined and timely compliance approvals of communications materials· Establish processes/Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the transmission of approved content to customers and clients. Measure and report on final delivery to target clientsMajor Challenges· AMG is a large and complex organization with multiple manufacturing centers and distribution locations, as such, this role needs to navigate the network and be able to effectively influence relevant teams on a global basis· The role has a significant technical investment knowledge requirement in that the professional audience of key accounts we target have a very high benchmark for investment and service quality· Ensuring decision-making processes are effective and all teams and teammates are involved and understand their contribution· Prioritization and management of local and cross-border workload in a highly-pressurized environment· Expertise to effectively influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders· Support the credibility of Client Propositions as function which is central to AMG's business performanceRole Context· The role holder works closely with Sales, Investment and Product to develop appropriate messaging on our products and capabilities and ensure it is effectively distributed and valued by key target clients. There is a requirement to establish, through challenge and effective influencing, efficient processes within teams that Client Propositions rely upon to encourage effective cross-border delivery of client materials, investment and product communicationsManagement of Risk· Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues· Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brandObservation of Internal Controls· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators· Is aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations· Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policyRequirements:· Min 7 years proven and progressive background in investment management business/capability based role, or equivalent; fixed income portfolio management and emerging market knowledge preferred· Bachelor''s degree in business, Finance, or other related position· Strong project management, written correspondence , decision-making, analytical, organizational, planning and presentation skills· Current understanding of AMG and products/capabilities and credibility with investments/products and a clear and consistent communication of AMG''s strategy and positioning across client types; background dealing with institutional and 3rd party wholesale distribution channels· Understanding of AMG''s global and local strengths and weakness and competitive challenges and a clear expertise to practically prioritize initiatives and implementation based on this understanding· Understanding of customer groups, distribution priorities and business focus· Flexibility to work with global stakeholders across all major geographies and time zones· Proven expertise to make effective decisions when faced with change and competing priorities· Working knowledge of communications processes and delivery· Production background and proven expertise to run core services and communications effectively and manage the integration of these components into client-facing materials· Technical investment knowledge - an understanding of investment philosophy and process, investment products and financial markets and the expertise to apply this effectively to client materialsJob: Sales
