The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University College Birmingham's Disability Support team as a Specialist Support Tutor. You will be joining a growing team at an exciting time in UCB's development, which has seen the opening of several first-class teaching/ study environments. As a key part of the Learning Services directorate, you will join our experienced team to provide 1:1 academic support for HE students with Sp LDs/disabilities, as well as providing students and staff with advice regarding support, exam arrangements, the DSA process, assistive technologies, Sp LDs and disabilities. Candidate Requirements: You will have experience of supporting students who have an Sp LD or disability in an educational setting and will have excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You will also be expected to be flexible in your approach to work and to act proactively.
