Special Operations Instructor (Faculty) - Joint Special Operations UniversitySelected applicant will perform Joint Special Operations instruction on a range of core special operations activities and functional activities that may include ground, maritime, air, international, interagency, irregular warfare, legal, financial, and chaplain topics. The SOF Instructor must perform Joint Special Operations command, control, planning, integration skills, and intelligence instruction at the operational level of war and above. The SOF Instructor will maintain professional certification and ensure completion of continuing-ed units, deliver instruction, facilitate discussion, and evaluate students. In addition to formal classroom instruction, the SOF Instructor will conduct other academic duties related to the school mission (such as organizing and executing symposia, conferences, informal instruction/colloquia, occasional lectures, curriculum development, guest speaking, etc.). SOF Instructors shall be responsible as the course director for up to 7 courses and be a primary instructor in up to 21 courses or seminars.Min/Mandatory Requirements:-¢ 5yrs of instructional background within DoD or equivalent government agencies.-¢ Previous background within the military Special Operations Forces community.-¢ Excellent public speaking skills and expertise to communicate effectively in English within a classroom and auditorium environment.-¢ Must be proficient using basic computer applications to include Ms office applications, and communications capabilities within JWICS, INTELINK, and SIPRNET (e.g., MIRC, Jabber Chat, DCO, etc.).-¢ Possess strong writing and briefing skills and be capable of effectively operating as a member of a joint training team or independently.-¢ Current TS/SCI clearance.-¢ Bachelor-Ts degree.-¢ Some travel required (up to 25%)Preferred Requirements:-¢ Completion of a Methods of Instruction Course (MOIC) based upon the Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Instructional Systems Development (ISD) model or a military service equivalent (ITC, MTS, SGITC, ABIC, TAITC, etc).-¢ Previous assignment as an operator within the Special Operations community.-¢ Previous background facilitating distance learning-¢ Master-Ts DegreeStreamline Defense offers perspective employees an unmatched opportunity to grow and learn in an exciting and entrepreneurial environment.
