Sous Chef for Michelin Restaurant Location: San Francisco Salary: 75,000 - 85,000 + benefits We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join a very reputable Chef driven restaurant group that holds two Michelin stars. This restaurant specializes in wood-fired, seasonal dishes. It’s the destination restaurant for locals and travelers to San Francisco. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an established and reputable restaurant. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to develop and implement seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant's culinary vision and style. Manage and lead a team of jr Sous Chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks, ensuring that all kitchen staff are trained and operating at the highest level. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation. Develop and implement systems for inventory management, ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability. Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment and ensure that all food safety standards are met or exceeded. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in a fine dining, Michelin-starred restaurant environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Thorough knowledge of modern and classic culinary techniques, as well as proficiency in all aspects of kitchen operations. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of culinary professionals. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of food and labor cost controls, as well as experience with menu planning and inventory management. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
