Job Summary Terms: Part-Time Hourly, Month-to-Month Basis (up to 15 hours per week – Sunday, Monday, Thursday and additional, as needed) Salary: $21-30 per hour, depending on experience + $50 monthly cell reimbursement + Full Strength Network benefit (for self + spouse / children dependents age 13-18), cumulative PTO up to 40 hours annually Reports to : RHC Worship Pastor & Executive Pastor Supervises: Volunteers & Intern(s) [when applicable] Start Date: As early as May 6, 2024The RHC Sound Engineer oversees all sound for both in-person and online gatherings, events, and video production. In addition, they work alongside the Worship Pastor to train volunteers and to cultivate community and spiritual discipleship among the members of both the worship and tech teams. Production and music are utilized as a medium to increase exposure to the Gospel and serve the in-person gatherings experience through creativity and the stewarding of talents, creating an immersive worship experience that is orderly and free of distractions, pointing all the focus to worshiping Jesus. Job Responsibilities Weekly, Monthly, and Ongoing Maintain a consistent “sound” in all worship venues – in-person, online, and post-produced videos.Train, recruit, and develop volunteer sound techs.Attend midweek worship rehearsals to help finalize the in-room mix, offering feedback, encouragement, andconstructive criticism to FOH volunteers. Also, being present to assist in rehearsal set-up, troubleshoot any techissues, and be available to coach the band and/or individual instrumentalists from a sound perspective, as needed.Oversight of sound for video production and editing.Manage and oversee production equipment and upkeep.Attend all Worship / Tech Events and encourage the team to attend and participate. Quarterly, Occasionally, or Annually Gear management, repair, updates, and replacement (as needed)Assist with and be on-call for FOH and production for outside events as assigned – i.e., weddings, memorial services, VBS, etc. Required Skillsets Sound Engineering including but not limited to: levels and mixing, proper gain staging, compression, EQ, routing, microphone placements, effects, panning, frequency isolation and correction, pre-amps, room tuning, acoustic treatment and paneling.Time managementAdaptabilityClear communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to train and replicate knowledge to volunteersCollaborationTrouble-shooting & problem-solvingAttention to detailActive listeningPatient and calm under pressureOrganized Preferred but not required: Proficiency in or willingness to learn: o Waves Ableton or DAW (such as Logic Pro X) Dante Virtual Soundcard and Dante Controller (Audinate) ProPresenter Final Cut Pro Musicality
