Elementary functions: rational, trigonometric, root, exponential and logarithmic functions and their graphs. Basic calculus: limits, continuity, derivatives, derivatives of higher order, analysis of graphs, use of derivatives; integrals and their applications. Lecture Section: LEC01: TUE 9-10am/THU 8-10am. Course Enrollment (est. ): 120 Number of Positions (est. ): One Qualifications: Previous teaching experience as the instructor of a Mathematics course at the university level (required). Previous teaching experience as the instructor for MATA30H3 or equivalent (strongly desirable). Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; submission of a deferred exam; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to course. Estimated TA Support (Hours): 79 hours per tutorial. Sessional dates of appointment: January 8 - April 30, 2024 Salary: Sessional Lecturer I $9,457.90 Sessional Lecturer I Long Term $9,930.79 Sessional Lecturer II $10,121.77 Sessional Lecturer II Long Term $10,326.62 Sessional Lecturer III $10,362.76 Sessional Lecturer III Long Term $10,570.01. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
