SENIOR SCIENTIST QC London Competitive Salary A leading cell therapy organisation are currently recruiting for a Senior Scientist to join the organisation based in the London area on a permanent basis. As Senior Scientist you will be accountable for leading an effective team of Associates and Scientists. You will have a good understanding of the regulatory aspects of the day-to-day workings in a busy QC laboratory and be responsible for: Supporting Clinical Trial manufacturing through QC testing across multiple disciplines including: microbiology, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, q PCR and potency testing Leading quality actions relating to QC activities Leading the qualification and validation of test methods and processes to ensure suitability for use in support of Clinical Trial manufacturing Leading the selection and purchase of QC laboratory equipment Leading equipment qualification activities Lead the technology transfer of QC test methods from the Analytical Development Group Designing and executing QC stability programmes Mentoring and training of junior members of staff Acting as GMP ambassador To be considered for the role it is essential that candidates are degree educated as a minimum in an appropriate scientific discipline, with directly relevant biotechnology or medical industry experience. Experience of phase appropriate analytical method transfer, qualification, and validation for the batch release and stability testing of cell-based therapies is also required. Knowledge of a range of biomedical and cell-based techniques is vital, including some or all of the following: Aseptic techniques, Sterility testing, Cell counting, Flow cytometry, PCR, Mammalian cell culture, Potency testing.
