SUMMARY: The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will be the first point of contact for employees, supervisors, managers and outside parties for all payroll and payroll compliance related matters. This position will report into the Controller and also includes benefits and other HR support to the VP – Human Resources. Once the training period is complete, this role will have the ability to work remotely 1 day a week, with 4 days working in-office. Employee Assistance Program The ability to work in a hybrid working environment MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurate and timely balancing and processing of bi-weekly payroll for 275 employees (including 180 hourly employees) Daily time posting to the company ERP Actioning all standing data changes (hires/terms/performance reviews) in time-keeping software, Manulife Retirement/Benefits, and ADP Leave of Absence and other non-standard payroll activities also to be actioned within ADP Monthly, year-end and ad-hoc payroll related compliance and reporting including T4’s and ROE’s Uploading biweekly RRSP contribution data to provider Maintain.
