What you will do Tata Steel Colors is an international business with nearly 50 years experience in the development and manufacture of pre: finished steels. The steels produced by the business are applied in many sectors/finished products including building envelope (roof cladding and wall cladding), domestic appliances, consumer products, bakeware and other specialist applications. As a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer, you will be working on a wide range of projects such as recent line machinery upgrades involving the latest hydraulic and pneumatic safety technologies. Past projects have included crane relocations, replacement of industrial effluent treatment plants as well as an fluid power energy saving initiatives with projected savings of over GBP 100,000 per annum. As part of the team you will undertake design, development, procurement, installation and commissioning responsibilities and prepare detailed governance structures, project plans, progress reports and be responsible for contractor management throughout the project life cycle. You will also develop detailed engineering requirements and specifications for plant/process improvements and enhancements with supporting risk backssments, management of change documentation, process safety considerations and hazard/operability considerations (HAZOP'S). You will also be required to liaise with Tata Steel UK's Project and Engineering functions from other business areas within Colors or Tata Steel Europe and provide engineering and technology support to.
