Company: Company 3 Position: Senior Financial Analyst Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid Pay Range: $72,000 - $80,000 CAD annually POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst's responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting reporting and consolidation exercises across the business. This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager of FP&A based in Toronto. MAIN DUTIES: The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data and provide forecasting support. They will organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics such as yearly growth, return on assets, return on equity and earnings per share, and oversee financial functions, such as backssing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control and project control. They will evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc. and study a business unit’s financial data to give advice for guiding business investments and overall financial strategy. Additional duties include: Analyze current and past financial data and performance. Prepare reports and projections based on analysis. Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts. Provide and maintain financial models and forecasting. WHAT YOU BRING: The ideal candidate will have an educational background in finance, accounting, or a related field, and will bring prior experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
