Overall Purpose of the Role: The primary purpose of this role is to co-ordinate, deliver, and enable employee engagement and communications across Thames Valley Police, aligning with the force's vision, priorities, and delivery plan. The role involves supervising a team of communications specialists, planning and delivering communications strategies, evaluating internal channels, and providing expertise on internal communication platforms. Key Accountability Areas: Supervise a team of communications specialists to ensure timely and effective delivery of employee engagement and communications, aligned with force priorities. Act as the first point of escalation for the Employee Engagement team, addressing issues and intervening when necessary. Lead planning and delivery of communications strategies for sensitive or complex programs or projects, collaborating with other forces' communication teams when needed. Support forward planning of employee engagement and communications activity to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities. Develop and apply evaluation techniques to backss the effectiveness of internal channels and team activities continuously.
