JOB OBJECTIVE: Senior Accountant primary responsibilities will include maintaining financial records and reports, assisting with, and facilitating the month-end close process, performing account reconciliations, and overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position will also be assisting the Accounting Supervisor with Auction specific duties and other general ledger related tasks. This position is office-based in Scottsdale, AZ and some travel may be required. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Prepare monthly closing journal entries Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts Reconcile inter-company payables and receivables, and manage billing and collections Prepare and record asset and liability related entries and revenue and expenses Process and maintain cash reconciliations Assist the AP Coordinator with processing approved invoices in the accounting system, payments to vendors, and credit card reconciliations Ensure compliance with GAAP principles Auction-related activities including cash sheets, cash management, and other duties as assigned by the Controller WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, preferred More than five years accounting experience Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment and handle multiple projects and Strong organizational skills. Analytical thinker with good problem-solving and time management skills Friendly and customer service oriented. Team player who works in collaboration with other departments. A multi-tasker that can easily "switch gears between projects". Proficient PC skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail. Must be able to travel three times per year for approximately 25 days total.
