Senior Accountant - Immediate opening

Description:
The Senior Accountant provides financial and operational support to the accounting department. This position will perform monthly reconciliations of complex bank accounts, as well as other general ledger accounts as necessary. This position, in addition to providing day-day to day accounting supports, assists with processes for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable department and prepares monthly financial reporting. Previous work experience in a financial environment is required. Familiarity with accounting software, such as SAGE, is helpful. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred 3 years of general accounting experience and at least 24 credit hours of accounting. Experience in a retail/Multi locations business accounting and/or property management accounting is a plus. Ability to use and analyze large sets of Data. Excellent ability in use of MS Office Suite- Excel advanced functions. Good organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated, ability to multitask and prioritize with basic knowledge of basic accounting. Job location is at our headquarters in Washington DC. Various other projects and duties as assigned. The position reports to the Controller.
