This customer-facing role has the crucial responsibility of making our passengers feel safe and secure as they travel from coast to coast. We are looking for Security Guards to join our Ports Security team in Swartz Bay! Job responsibilities: Ensure safety and security of the terminal and onboard vessels Act as a visible security deterrence Regular patrols - every 1 to 2 hours Communicate with members of the public to provide direction and/or service Provision of excellence in customer service Unlock/lock up checks and related security procedures Communications, including radio, digital and incident escalations Incident and activity reporting Identifying and reporting safety hazards Adhere to Securiguard's core Values, Vision, mission What you bring: BC Security License Excellent communication skills Pride in delivering outstanding customer service Comfortable with radio communication Ability to write reports on job-related activities Comfort working independently and in varying weather conditions Physically capable of standing and walking for a duration of 8 hours Previous security experience is an asset Approaches a Situation with a Listening Mindset Employee Perks We Offer: Award winning corporate culture Paid training and free uniforms Flexible schedules & work life balance Extended health and dental benefits Employee assistance program through TELUS My Health Telemedical access to doctors, therapists, and dietitians Access to a robust corporate discount program.
