We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team, at a local Industrial site near Logan Lake, British Columbia. The successful candidate will work a 4 day on, 4 day off schedule and play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and safe environment for our facility, employees, and visitors. If you possess strong observational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, we invite you to apply. The day to day duties: Provide site security by conducting building patrols, perimeter patrols and gate security. Vehicle traffic management of in-going and out-going vehicles as well as contractor vehicle compliance checks Contractor and visitor sign in/out and monitoring Monitoring of the CCTV system Conduct employee and contractor bag/vehicle searches Escort of delivery vehicles to warehouse or other locations as required Security for on-site events as needed Dispatch of Emergency Response Team Daily Emergency Response Pager Test Provide back-up emergency first aid coverage when needed Answering incoming phone calls and directing calls appropriately, including emergency call line What you will bring: A valid BC Security Worker License Previous experience in a security role is an asset. Ability to work 12 hour shifts on a 4 day on, 4 day off scheduling rotation. Familiarity with CCTV systems and security protocols. Ability to handle emergency situations with composure. OFA3 First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain. WHMIS is an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
