Rancho Biosciences, a certified Great Place to Work in 2022, is seeking a Remote Business Analyst to develop and document business solution requirements to enable the design, implementation, documentation, and support of data curation, management, integration, and analytics solutions on behalf of our pharmaceutical, academic and institutional clients. To be successful, you will need to be an expert problem solver with a strong understanding of the broad range of software technologies and platforms available. We are a Data Science company working with some of the most renowned Pharmaceutical companies in the world. Our team of scientists, curators, computational biologists, biostatisticians, and computer scientists are located throughout the country. We are a totally remote team, working collaboratively together on projects that have a real impact on human health. In This Role You Will Work with multiple stakeholders to understand and document business requirements Understand/analyze end-to-end scientific business processes and scientific data Translate business requirements into actionable user stories to support solution design Partner with IT development team and scientific business partners to implement solutions Lead and coordinate Solution testing/user acceptance testing (both validated and non-validated) Liaison and facilitate communication between Stakeholders and the implementation team Experience/Training Bachelor of Science or related Business/Technical degree 3+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably in LifeSciences or Pharma Industry Good understanding of scientific and safety data management, data analysis , data sharing and reporting Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle and GxP validation Experience with JIRA and Confluence Experience with agile ways of working (e.g., scrum) Demonstrated ability to work successfully with business owners and scientists to understand business needs and document business processes Demonstrated understanding of and ability to deliver business process modeling documents Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills IIBA Certification in Business Analysis and/or familiarity with the BABOK preferred, but not required Soft Skills: Independently driven, hardworking, and committed Detail-oriented and well organized, with an ability to work collaboratively and remotely Proven ability to be patient while handling tough situations including difficult customers Ability to work well under pressure Effective written and verbal communication
