Description:
1. Performs management reporting and financial analysis for physician practices.â?¢ Prepares financial and clinical reports using data extracted from the IDX system and other financial databases.â?¢ Demonstrates proficiency in using Ms excel and Ms word to prepare reports and analyze data.â?¢ Creates and updates profiles for fees, procedures and clinical info.2. Assists CPP coordinators with daily operational activities.â?¢ Analyzes and uses Medicare, Blue Shield Validation Reports and Insurance Carrier Edit Lists.â?¢ Analyzes practice patterns as they affect revenue.â?¢ Collaborates with physicians, support staff and CPP staff to gather data for analysis.â?¢ Audits physician charge documents, i.e., superbills, billing cards and medical records, as needed to ensure physician compliance with regulatory agencies.3. Provides support to physician office staff.â?¢ Maintains efficient communication with secretaries and billers.â?¢ Assists coordinators in directing support staff on proper CPP policies and procedures.â?¢ Identifies and proposes solutions to common work problems affecting secretaries and billers.â?¢ Reports these problems on a timely basis to CPP coordinator or CPP management personnel.4. Assists CPP management in planning and implementing policies and procedures resulting from changes in physician reimbursement.â?¢ Maintains and updates CPP Procedure Manual.â?¢ Maintains and updates CPP Managed Care Quick Reference Guide.â?¢ Maintains and updates physician fee profiles.â?¢ Prepares analysis of impact on revenue from fees in 3rd party fee schedules.â?¢ Maintains proficiency in 3rd party reimbursement fees, CPT and ICD-9 Coding and RBRVS.5. Follows-up on outstanding accounts receivable of insurance companies.â?¢ Tracks insurance payment and trends.â?¢ Contacts insurance carriers to appeal claims and obtain fee schedules.â?¢ Researches and contacts 3rd party representatives to obtain details and clarify policy and procedures, as needed.â?¢ Follows-up on outstanding patient accounts as needed and documents results.â?¢ Provides guidance and training to support staff on carrier benefits and policies.6. Demonstrates ability in IDX applications and other analytical programs.â?¢ Demonstrates ability in the use of DBMS to obtain info from the IDX system to prepare reports for analysis and presentations.â?¢ Performs queries in a timely fashion.â?¢ Updates IDX dictionaries.â?¢ Updates pricing module and enters updates to physician fee schedules.â?¢ Demonstrates ability in IDX Bar application for assisting support staff and CPP representatives with routine problems.7. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with CPP management, account representatives and staff.â?¢ Responds to requests for info and reports on a timely basis.â?¢ Works as a team with CPP staff, physician practices and other administrative personnel.8. Performs related duties as required
