Title: Retail Services - Risk - VP, Credit and Portfolio Risk Manager, Acquisitions - BBYLocation: IL-Elk Grove VillageThis position resides in the Citi Risk Management department responsible for the $7B Best Buy Retail Credit Card Portfolio. As part of the Citi Retail Services Risk Management team, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing ideas and initiatives designed to achieve business growth & loss mitigation goals. This responsibility involves driving credit risk policies for new account acquisitions. The role requires that an individual has several years of credit risk managerial background, strong statistical and analytical abilities and technical SAS skills. A successful applicant will be able to drive rigorous analytically derived results and objective recommendations which balance risk and reward for the portfolio. Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies by analyzing credit and financial performance utilizing statistical scoring, segmentation, regression and simulation techniques Implement initiatives to ensure consistency and compliance with credit policies Liaise with cross functional business counterparts to develop and implement risk strategies and credit related programs Utilize SAS in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analysis including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on portfolio performance, emerging trends and areas of opportunity BA/BS degree in Quantitative Fields such as Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business Finance, or Mathematics (Masters degree preferred) 3-5yrs background in credit card risk management or equivalent training and background preferably in the financial services industry Expertise to apply credit and risk principles toward business objectives Demonstrated expertise to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a high sense of urgency Strong communications/presentation skills, capable of interacting effectively with multiple levels Must be highly organized and able to work in a quick paced environment managing multiple projects and possess strong interpersonal, organizational and analytic skillsExtensive knowledge of SAS or SQL programming and literacy with Microsoft office suite software required
